This was the game the boys had prepared for the last three weeks after conceding their firt loss in two years to the black and white Abbotsford squad. Right from the first minute the game was a hard battle in the centerhalf, with Abby trying to overpass the mid with long balls but the Mountain defense was focused to win the ball and re-build. The last 10 minutes of the game was intense with Abbotsford pushing players up and hitting the crossbar from a header. Weather : Cloudy, windy
Mountain FC - 2 : 1 - Coastal
Half-time score : 0:1 (mtn:oppos)
Less then 24 hours later Mountain was back on the field on a cloudy, windy and cold morning. In order to maintain the lead in the standing it was paramount to start hard and keep up the pace. Although Coastal game plan was to apply high pressure to our back line during the build up, at the 10th minute mark a fast and well constructed play saw Jayson Santiago receive a golden ball on the righht side and when everybody screamed to the goal everybody was also surprised the ball just peeled off the far post. Just a few minutes later another golden chance when Jordan MacDonnell finds himself in front of the goalkeeper but his shots is well saved by the Coastal keeper. The next 20 minutes both teams are battling for possession with not a clear chance from both squads. It is until the 34th minute mark that the Coastal striker intercept a short pass and on a convoluted play in the 18yards box Coastal takes the lead. Mountain gets on the field in the second half determined not to loose a game that should have been won in the first 10 minutes. And it is from a cross fromthe right side that Miguel Bustamante deliver a nice volley in the back of the net to tie the game. Armed with the momentum Mountain forces Coastal in their half and at the 15th mark Lucas Sweda controls a ball at the half, dribbles away on the right side and sends away a fast cross which is met by a well timed elevation of Tanner Wright that headds the ball in the net. The last 5 minutes of the game Coastal creates some problems to the back line but it is all ordinary administration for a focused Andrew Hicks Mountain goalkeeper.

Location : Burnaby Lake
Weather : Sunny
Mountain FC - 1 : 0 - Coquitlam Metro Ford
Half-time score : 0:0 (mtn:oppos)
In a nice sunny and warm June afternoon the U16 Mountain went into the game with the objective to rebound from the disappoinitng performance of a week ago. Right from the start Mountain was the better team but did not show the composure and confidence shown in the past. However as the minutes were ticking by the play and build up of Mountain was more and more convincing. In the first half a couple of chances were recorded for Mountain but nothing to worry the Metro Ford goalkeeper. Going into the second half Mountain needed that first goal to break the ice. We had to wait until the 21st minute mark when Jordan MacDonell was brought down inside the penalty box and captain Anthony Bordignon did not waste any time to score fromthe spot. In the last 20 minutes Mountain could have scored more goals, first with Tanner Whright, while turning and twisting in the box shot the ball wide not realizing Lucas Reis was wide open in front of the net, then with Colton Walker who made a sttrong run down the left flank and then receive the ball while running toward the center, the ball missed the left post by a few inches. This win was needed badly to restore spirit and confidence among the boys.

Going to Victoria for the first game of the season was not a simple task. Due to ferry delays and traffic on the way to the venue the team arrived at the field with only 15 minutes before kick off. The first 15 minutes of the game was a display of cautious play with both teams focused on neutralizing each other space. But on the 20th minute Miguel Bustamante collected a loose ball 40 years from the goal and scored with an accurate lob while the Capitals' goalkeeper was caught high on his line. At the 31st minute Gilbert Kyne was able to connect a through ball in the penalty area but was fouled resulting in a PK that Anthony Bordignon took with confidence.
