Mountain FC U14 GIRLS vs Abbotsford - June 20th

An excellent effort by the Mountain girls resulted in a solid 1-0 victory over Abbotsford. A well directed headed pass by Caitlin Millham sent Tannaysia Coady in on goal and TJ finished her opportunity well to give mountain a 1-0 lead. Mountain carved out several more scoring chances but failed to find the back of the net. Over all though a terrific result that puts Mountain back in the hunt for first place.

Mountain Fc girls played a difficult Coastal team on Saturday. A largely midfield battle was settled late in the game by a Coastal goal. A disappointing result for the girls who will have to bounce back tomorrow against Abbotsford

Mountain FC U14 GIRLS vs Thompson-Okanagan - June 12th

The U-14 mountain fc girls travelled to Kelowna to take on Thompson-Okanagan. An end to end game that featured chances for both teams. The mountain girls took a 1-0 lead on a fine individual effort from Caitlin Millham. Thompson-Okanagan responded with a late equalizer dead-locking the game.

Mountain FC U14 GIRLS vs Coquitlam Metro Ford - June 5th

Mountain FC - 0 : 0 - Coquitlam Metro Ford

On a perfect evening for soccer Mountain and metro ford battled to a scoreless draw. A poor effort by Mountain resulted in many long balls with few chances created. Led by Kimberly Hoskins and Sarah Moignard the defence played outstanding.

The Mountain U-14 girls team won its second game of the season over a difficult and determined Abbotsford Mariner team. The Mountain girls created some excellent scoring chances in the first hslf but failed to connect. The game seemed destined to end in a scoreless tie when Alexis Llewellyn broke down the right hand side and scored her second goal of the season late in the game.

Mountain FC U14 GIRLS vs West Coast Capitals - May 15th
Location : Layritz Park
Weather : Sunny and perfect
Mountain FC - 3 : 1 - West Coast Capitals
Half-time score : 2-0 (mtn:oppos)
The Mountain U-14 girls team got its first win of the season 3-0 over a tough and well organized West Coast Capital squad. After an even 20 minutues Katlyn Richardson scored her first goal of the year with a fine 20m blast. Just before the halftime whistle Tannaysia Coady doubled the score. Early in the second half Pauline McCordic played a terrific ball to Alexis Llewellyn who then capped a wonderul run with her first goal as well. An excellent effort all around by the team.

Mountain FC U14 GIRLS vs Revolution - May 8th
Location : Newton Athletic Park
Weather : Sunny
Mountain FC - 1 : 1 - Revolution
Half-time score : 1-1 (mtn:oppos)
Mountain FC got off to a solid start. Against the run of play Revolution scored. Mountain FC had continuous pressure and this resulted in a goal by Caitlyn Milham off of a wild scramble from a corner kick. Despite controlling the game goal keeper Austin Studer preserved the win with a late terrific save.
