The Mountain FC U13 Boys took to the field for their final game of the season vs. the West Coast Capitals. An uninspiring first half from Mountain saw the West Coast Capitals go up 3 - 0. The second half started with a roar as Tyus Batiste scored on a feed from Merlin Fisk in the 36th minute of play. This goal energized Mountain and waves of pressure resulted in a free kick that was duly dispatched into the netting by Jacob McMahon from 25 yards out. The final 10 minutes brought on a flurry of chances but Mountain was unable to capitalize and the final score was 3 - 2 for the visitors.

Mountain FC U13 BOYS vs Coastal FC - July 18th

The Mountain FC U13 Boys took to the field on a cold, windy morning in South Surrey coming off a win the day before. Coastal came out strong early and scored in the 10th minute of play off a corner kick. Eight minutes later Mountain's Max Williams passed the ball off to Christian Nichele who slotted it home to tie the game at 1 - 1. In the second half the play went back and forth and in the 50th minute Jacob McMahon found the back of the net when he blasted the ball past the keeper from 35 yards out. Mountain thought they had the win until Coastal was able to score in the last minute of play to tie the game at 2 - 2.

Mountain FC U13 BOYS vs Thompson - Okanagan FC - July 17th

The Mountain FC U13 boys took to their home field in Burnaby on a hot, sunny afternoon in hopes of taking all three points from their opponent. In the 25th minute Max Williams scored a volley from Jacob McMahon's corner kick. Ten minutes later Aidan Callow scored on a goal mouth scramble that was assisted by Christian Nichele. The halftime score was 2 - 0 for Mountain. Minutes into the second frame another corner kick from Jacob McMahon was smashed into the net off the head of Christian Nichele to make the score 3 - 0 Mountain. Thompson - Okanagan scored off a free kick in the 48th minute and converted on a penalty kick in the 52nd minute making the final score 3 - 2 for Mountain FC. Well done boys!

Mountain FC U13 BOYS vs Coquitlam Metro Ford - July 11th
Location : Coquitlam Town Centre

The U13 Boys were up for the challenge knowing they would have a tough game against Coquitlam Metro Ford. Once again this was an evenly matched game as both teams battled hard to try and take the lead. Neither team was able to score, Mountain dominated the last 10 minutes of play keeping CMF in their end. The final score at the end of 70 minutes of play was 0 - 0, the same score as the first game they played against each other back in June. This was a well played game by two evenly matched teams once again.

Mountain FC U13 BOYS vs Revolution Football Club - July 10th

The U13 Mountain boys took to the field on a warm, sunny morning hoping to collect all three valuable points to try and move up in the tight standings race in the Pacific Northwest division. The Revolution Football Club came out firing as they attempted to avenge their only loss of the year against Mountain earlier in the season. Revolution went up with two quick goals that caught the Mountain defence off guard to put the score at 2 - 0 at halftime. Once again the Mountain coaching staff made many substitutions throughout the game hoping to find the right combination to score some goals. Early in the second half Aidan Callow scored off a pass from Christian Nichele. Minutes later Revolution was able to counter and put the score at 3 - 1. Leon Anderson made some outstanding saves throughout the second half. Mountain was able to score another to get themselves back in the game when Christian Nichele converted a pass from Diego Villavicencio to make it 3 - 2 only to have Revolution score a minute later. The final score would remain 4 - 2. This was the Mountain U13 boys' first loss of the season.

Mountain FC U13 BOYS vs Abbotsford Mariners - June 20th

The Mountain FC U13 Boys made the early morning drive to Abbotsford on a cool, overcast Sunday morning. Abbotsford got an early goal in the second minute of play. Mountain came back in the 7th minute when Jacob McMahon was taken down just outside the box and awarded a free kick. Aidan Callow was able to convert off of Jacob McMahon's free kick. In the 13th minute Abbotsford was able to counter with another goal to put them up by one. The Mountain boys fought back again when Tyus Batiste passed the ball to Christian Nichele who was able to head it in to the goal to tie the match at 2 - 2. In the second half both teams were battling hard with a lot of physical play. In the 65th minute Max Williams pulled the ball back from the end line to Tyus Batiste who converted to make it 3 - 2. Mountain thought they had won the game until a free kick in the 69th minute was converted after a goal mouth scramble by Abbotsford. Final score 3 - 3.

The Mountain FC U13 Boys took to the field on a sunny and warm afternoon hoping to collect all three points against Coastal FC. The game started off well as Aidan Callow was hauled down in the box in the 8th minute and awarded a penalty. Aidan calmly placed the ball in the bottom left corner of the net to put Mountain up 1 - 0. Two minutes later a defensive error allowed Coastal to streak in and tie the game 1 - 1. The coaching staff made multiple substitutions after halftime trying to find the right combination to produce another goal. There were a plethera of chances for both sides in the final 10 minutes but neither team was able to capitalize and the final score was 1 - 1.

The Mountain FC U13 Boys had a long day of travel up to Kelowna by bus while the team's leading goal scorer, Christian Nichele, travelled by plane and was picked up at the airport by our General Manager and Technical Director and escorted pack to the hotel. When the game began our boys were caught off guard in the 10th minute of play when Kelowna was able to break through our defense and score their first goal. Five minutes later Mountain was able to counter with a goal by Christian Nichele from a great pass by Aidan Callow to even up the score. In the 27th minute of play Tyus Batiste was hauled down in the box and Aidan Callow was able to convert the penalty kick to put Mountain up by one. The coaching staff made many substitutions after halftime trying to find the right combination to add some energy to Mountain's play. In the 54th minute Kelowna was able to score to make it 2-2 and ten minutes later Kelowna converted again. The Mountain boys were awarded a free kick just outside the box with only five minutes left to play and Vittorio Ciccone was able to smash it into the net and that would be the last goal of the game with a final score of 3 - 3.

The Mountain FC U13 boys took to the field late this afternoon for the much anticipated match with Coquitlam Metro Ford. It was a very evenly matched game that was very physical and fast paced. Mountain found their stride in the second half and were applying lots of pressure and had a plethera of chance but unfortunately could not get the goal they worked so hard to try and find. The final score was 0 - 0.

Mountain FC U13 BOYS vs Abbotsford Mariners - May 29th

The Mountain FC U13 boys hit the pitch bright and early on a cold and wet Saturday in May. The Mountain boys had a shakey start to the first half and the game was tied 0 - 0 at halftime. After some inspirational words from the coaching staff the boys were able to pick-up their game in the second half. In the 52nd minute Tyus Batiste scored off a corner, set play from Diego Villavicencio. A minute later the Abbotsford goalie stepped out of his box with the ball and a free kick was awarded to Mountain. Tyus had a great strike but the ball sailed just over the net. In the final 10 minutes of play Mountain dominated and in the 65th minute Tyus Batiste scored again from a long ball passed over the top from Jacob McMahon. The final score was 2 - 0 for Mountain FC.

Mountain FC U13 BOYS vs West Coast Capitals - May 15th

The Mountain FC U13 Boys travelled to Victoria on a sunny Saturday afternoon to take on the West Coast Capitals at PISE turf. Mountain FC were raring to go right from the whistle as Christian Nichele scored in the 2nd minute of play in a goal mouth scramble. In the 20th minute Devon Mitchell passed a long ball up the middle to a charging Max Williams who fired home to make it 2 - 0. One minute later a quick thinking Vittorio Ciccone played a great ball off a free kick to Christian Nichele who scored again to make it 3 - 0 going into halftime. Early in the second half Victoria notched their only marker to make it 3 - 1. The insurance goal for Mountain FC came in the 51st minute on a fine passing play that saw Diego Villavicencio feed Christian Nichele who smashed a 15 yard blast into the netting to give him his hat trick and seal up the game for Mountain with a final score of 4 - 1.

Mountain FC U13 BOYS vs Revolution Football Club - May 9th

The Mountain FC U13 Boys took to the field on a beautiful sunny morning for their season opener against Revolution FC. The opposition were big and strong but the skill and determination of the Mountain boys won out in the end. In the 22nd minute of the first half Aidan Callow slotted a pass to Christian Nichele who smashed it into the net. In the second half the Mountain defense was able to fend off all of the opposition's threats until the 42nd minute when Revolution scored to tie it 1 - 1. In the final minutes Jordan Lau slipped a lovely ball threw to Christian Nichele who kept his composure and finished the game off with another great goal.
