Check back soon for a very exciting announcement from Mountain FC.
July 19, 2010
Mountain FC teams engaged in a total of 15 games this past weekend. On Saturday, they hosted the Thompson-Okanagan while they were away to Coastal FC on Sunday. It was a collective dominant performance by the Mountain FC Club registering only one loss while recording 10 wins and 4 draws.Congratulations go out to the U16 Boys team who have earned a return visit to the Super-Y Finals in November.
The U14 Boys and U16 Girls could join them with favourable results versus the West Coast Capitals this coming Saturday. It was heartbreak for the U13 Boys as they were essentially eliminated from qualification on a last minute equalizer in Sunday’s game.
For game reports on all teams, please refer to the submenus above.
Good luck to all of our teams as we close the regular season schedule this weekend.
July 12, 2010
Mountain FC teams engaged in a very tough back-to-back weekend facing Revolution FC on Saturday followed by games versus Coquitlam Metro Ford on Sunday. In all, 14 games were played with Mountain FC teams managing to record points in 9 of them. Several of our teams are locked in very tight Divisional battles that look like they will go to the wire. Once again this coming weekend, most of the teams will play twice. Saturday’s host match day involves the Thompson-Okanagan FC followed by Sunday matches in Surrey versus Coastal FC. This weekend may well determine most of the SYL Finals qualification spots in the Pacific Northwest Division. Follow the teams through their game reports in the submenus above. Best of luck to all of our teams as they enter a critical portion of the schedule!
Also, congratulations to our U12 Boys and U12 Girls teams who have now concluded their seasons. Both teams performed exceptionally well through League and Tournament play representing the Club in an outstanding manner. Our thanks go out to the coaches, managers, parents and players for making us proud!
June 21, 2010
Mountain FC was involved in their busiest weekend to date as several teams were challenged with back-to-back games. While the U12 Boys were idle, the U12 Girls battled to a 1-1 Draw on Friday night versus Coquitlam but had difficulty finding their legs the following day dropping the game to the Whitecaps Prospects. The remaining Mountain teams faced Coastal FC at home on Saturday then traveled to Abbotsford on Sunday. In total, 13 games were played with Mountain teams taking points in 11 of them. Overall, an excellent weekend for the Club as our teams continue to establish positions in the very competitive Pacific Northwest Division. For game reports, please refer to the team submenus above.
With a two week break in the SYL schedule, Mountain teams will have an opportunity to re-group in training as well as engage in exhibition matches. Four of the teams will also be competing in the Baker Blast Tournament. June 25 – 27. Good luck to all of our teams….
June 14, 2010
Six Mountain FC teams made their way up to sunny Kelowna/Vernon this past weekend to take on the Thompson-Okanagan FC. All of the games were very competitive with most undecided until the final minutes. While the U16 Girls, U16 Boys and U14 Boys were victorious, the U15 Boys, U14 Girls and U13 Boys settled for draws in each of their games. Meanwhile, the U12 Boys were busy in Surrey Sunday afternoon taking on their counterparts from Coastal FC. For game reports, please refer to the team submenus above.
Next up for Mountain FC is a difficult back-to-back weekend starting with a home match day versus Coastal FC on Saturday, then away to the Abbotsford Mariners on Father’s Day Sunday. Good luck to all of our teams….
